Fair is Fair

This is a very entertaining and enlightening TED talk by Frans de Waal. It's only about 17 minutes in length, so if you've got that much time free, here's a nice way to fill it.

  1. Repairing a relationship... make up sex.
This was actually quite entertaining and enlightening.

Makes me really wonder about Andy and his ability to or lack thereof to empathize. It seems like it's something he may be able to grasp but not fully attain. Luckily living with us he can see how empathy works but... with Asperger's it's hard to see just how much will be reactions to social queues that he has learned versus real empathy.

  2. Make-up sex... yes to that. Let's face it, for two people, friends or otherwise, sex can be a powerful tool for keeping a close relationship going smoothly.

I had empathy troubles when I was a kid and used to think I was just a rotten apple. Things seemed to turn around when I hit my twenties. Hopefully, in your case, environmental factors will decide things positively for him.
